Hola and happy #fashionfriday! We’ve got the finale post for the F O N D x N E A T collaboration with style by jr on ice. This entire shoot was ridiculously fun, so be sure to stay tuned for future style sessions – but first, make sure you catch yesterday’s post featuring Kayla in her 80’s power suit.
Tanya Puka from FOND styles Kayla Browne from NEAT| Fond Boutique Night Look
Kayla was my vintage muse from moment one, so the denim bustier jumpsuit was a must. Black (and form fitting) isn’t commonplace for Kayla, so I brightened the look up a bit with pops of primary colour and gave the sultry suit some structure with a bold suit jacket.
I loved getting to bust out Fond’s vintage gems for this shoot – Kayla’s look has a hint of pin-up vixen that compliments her mural counterpart and screams intellectual conversations over art and architecture (two of her favourite topics, so I feel like I’ve captured her spirit with this number!).
Now, vintage has always enticed me because there is something so incredible about possessing belongings with rich history. Over time the Fond collection has grown quite contemporary, but if a consigner brings in a timeless piece, I’ll snatch it right up. The best vintage is found in those charming, dingy off-the-beaten path thrift shops, so if your heart is set on found vintage, start with a drive out to Nanton and work your way back home. And don’t forget to stop in a Fond Boutique after to take those vintages looks to the next level!
Jacket, scarf, jumpsuit, pumps and clutch all courtesy of Fond Boutique.
Until next time Neat freaks!
