Can’t decide between culottes and a skirt? I’ve got a jumpsuit for that. Do you enjoy having to remove all of your clothes in order to pee? I’ve got a jumpsuit for that. Are you a huge Kris Kross fan who just can’t let go of wearing you clothes backwards? Well my friends, I’ve got a jumpsuit for that.
I recently purchased this big red jumpsuit from Meg Shops while on a trip to New York and it’s been my favourite purchase of the year. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts, jumpsuits are hit and miss for me because the fit has to be perfect to avoid the dreaded camel toe/hungry bum combo, two afflictions that have been plaguing women around the world for decades with very little progress in way of a cure. But this jumpsuit ticked all the boxes and then some.
For starters I was told that the owner and designer, Megan Kinney, is originally from Calgary. Represent guuuurl! The jumpsuit also meets my requirements of being large and shapeless. Can you make me look more like a giant block? Oh you can? Perfect. And can we please talk about the colour? This bold red is making me feel the Kool Aid man in all the right ways, OH YEAH!
It can also be worn with the zipper in the front or the back which is perfect for those days when I want to show my back fat off with a scoop neck. It also has another tricky design in that the culotte’s pants can look like a skirt at different angles. And because the pants are wide loose they keep I completely avoid have large amounts of material being shoved up my crotch and bum, something I am eternally grateful for. It’s the little things in life, you know? And to top it all off there is a GIANT pocket, perfect for storing my phone, wallet, and burritos for light midday snacks.
As you can tell this multipurpose jumpsuit has been in heavy rotation for me this summer. Now if only someone could design a pair of heels that are this versatile.
